Tactical Rundown:

1: What “Experience With” Means

When a profile appears under the “Experience With” filter, it means this person has had a verifiable interaction with your firm, based on CI-tracked activity or your organization’s contributed data.

This does not imply endorsement, only documented experience.

2: The Four Ways Experience is Triggered

A person will appear as having “Experience With” your firm if any one of the following occurs:

  1. Expert Witness Retention
    1. Your firm has retained an expert on a matter
    2. The relationship was documented through CI data sources or firm-provided information
  2. Research Performed on a Profile
    1. Someone at your firm intentionally researched an individual using their CI profile
    2. This includes actions taken while logged into CI, such as:
      1. Viewing the individual’s profile
      2. Saving the profile
      3. Engaging with profile content (e.g., notes, tags, or other interactions)
    3. Simply seeing an individual’s name or profile appear in search results or recommendations does not count as research and does not trigger experience
  3. Written Review
    1. A member of your firm submitted a written review of the individual
    2. Reviews may be internal or shared, depending on permissions
  4. Connection
    1. The individual is directly connected to your firm through CI relationship mapping
    2. Connections may come from CRM integrations, firm submissions, or verified relationship data

Any single trigger is sufficient for the experience to be recorded.

How Experience Appears on a Profile

Once triggered:

  • The profile becomes discoverable when filtering by Experience With
  • The experience reflects firm-level interaction, not necessarily individual attorney interaction
  • Visibility depends on your subscription level and permissions
