The HeinOnline integration with CI enhances professional profiles by displaying article titles and citations authored by individuals, with direct links to the corresponding content on HeinOnline. CI hosts **the article title and citation only**. To view the full article and access the content, users or their firms must have an active HeinOnline subscription. Users without a subscription will be prompted by HeinOnline to log in or purchase an individual subscription. HeinOnline content appears on CI profiles **where the individual has authored articles hosted on HeinOnline.** **How CI Obtains the Data** CI receives HeinOnline data through direct integration with HeinOnline’s platform. Sourcing, handling, and linking details: - **Data source: CI sources** HeinOnline’s published legal content and metadata - **Data handling:** CI displays article titles and citations as provided by HeinOnline, without modification or enrichment to the original material - **Linking:** CI provides a **direct hyperlink** to article on HeinOnline When a user clicks the article title in CI: - Users with an active HeinOnline subscription are taken directly to the full article - Users without subscription are prompted by HeinOnline to log in or purchase access **Requirements to Access Content Within in CI** To access HeinOnline content through CI, the following requirements apply: - **CI access:** HeinOnline content appears on profiles associated with authored articles hosted on HeinOnline. Article titles are visible within CI to Enterprise subscribers. - **HeinOnline licensing:** - Users or firms must have an active HeinOnline subscription to view full articles - Users without a subscription must purchase an individual HeinOnline subscription to access the content CI does not provide access to full HeinOnline content and does not manage HeinOnline licensing. **What Content is Included** The HeinOnline integration displays reference-level information within CI, including: - **Article titles and citations** - **Associated legal scholarship** - **Case-related materials and opinions** (where applicable) - **Author or contributor associations**(as they relate to experts) Full article text and related materials are accessed exclusively through HeinOnline. **Where Data Appears in CI and How to Access** HeinOnline data appears under a legal professional’s profile as linked article titles, only when that individual has authored content available on HeinOnline.
